Honeyblood have announced their return with a new single ‘The Third Degree’, a new album, and a new UK tour.

Formerly a two-piece, drummer Cat Myers is no longer a part of the line-up. The band now comprises of just songwriter, singer, and guitarist Stina Tweeddale for the first time.

The musician will release her third album ‘In Plain Sight’ on May 24, 2019, via her new label home of Marathon Artists. It was produced by John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St Vincent). In a press release, Tweeddale said of the record: “This album felt like me being left to work out what felt like this giant puzzle on my own. It’s all a big trick. All the songs fed into this idea of trickery and deception, of half-truths.”

The record features lead single ‘The Third Degree’, which you can watch the Rianne White-directed video for below now.

Honeyblood will head out on tour ahead of the album’s release this spring, where Tweeddale will be joined by a new live band. Tickets are on sale now.

The band last released a record with 2016’s ‘Babes Never Die’. In a four-star review, NME said: “Where last time round rubbish men were in the firing line, this time it’s haters. ‘Babes Never Die’, a v-flicking ode to not letting the bastards get you down, is as strong and resilient as early single ‘Super Rat’. Instead of name-calling, though, it taunts its target by refusing to crumble.”
