On January 21st Kendrick Lamar headlined a concert at Warehouse Live with his Special Guest Schoolboy Q and the rest of Black Hippy family (Jay Rock and Ab Soul). Their performances took over Warehouse Live with one of the most phenomenal shows of the year so far in Houston . Before the show one of Houston’s hottest dj’s “Dj Mr.Rogers” had the crowd amped on the one’s and two’s (as usual) while waiting for the man of the hour to appear. When the time finally approached Kendrick Lamar took the show by storm while rants and screams were coming from the crowd from his hard core fans. He performed the vast majority of Section 80, and a few joints from Overly Dedicated. Kendrick’s vibrant energy kept the crowd live in full effect and took Houston by surprise with guest appearances from no other than Bun B, Slim thug, and Scarface. The Compton native received mad love from Houston as if he was a full blown Houstonian. Warehouse live was ridiculously packed and The positive buzz about Kendrick was a proven factor of accuracy that could be co-signed from the thousands of people that showed up! Some of the most rememberable moments included a back flip mid verse from Jay Rock while performing “Hood Gone Love It” with Lamar Kendrick. And the overwhelming feeling that was surfacing through the room as he performed “a.d.h.d”. A few faces were spotted with tears flowing down their cheeks. It was pretty evident that The song definitely hit home with some of the fans in the crowd! Kendrick posses a self lifting, conscious ,captivating flow that can even keep the attention of a person who really does have a.d.h.d. Drinks were flowing and the energy was ever lasting leaving a great impression on Houston until his next concert to come. If you missed the show don’t worry Toxin Definitely captured the scene in full detail. Check out the pictures and footage below to see the experience through our Lenses . We would like to give a special thanks to Curtis Cool Breeze for the visuals(@iamcurtis) and to Scoremore shows for showing Toxin mad love.
